Gallardo Data Report

Introduction – PLEASE READ THIS

Welcome! A number of users on the www.lambo-talk.com forum had started collecting VIN information for -all- Gallardo production. While most stopped the data was passed along to me and one other person in late 2019. Since then I took it upon myself to start verifying some of the data, as well as writing my own software to gather more VINs from the web. (places like car sites, auctions etc). This led to the creation of the site you are now viewing, which has continually been refined, and hopefully gains more data as people help complete missing parts.

What is below is a summary of the data that this site has collected so far. Much of it is for the USA as those cars have been more readily available to find. Please read through each section, particularly the intro as there are some important factors to consider – notably that the data here is incomplete. A big thank you to Patrick R in Europe for helping to continue to gather many of the European cars as well as other prior contributors.

This report is LIVE! Rather than having to update this page by hand, everything you see below is created when the page refreshes from the data in our database. Check back as new VINs are added, and please if you can, Sign Up and enter your own data as well.

There are two important items, Collection, and Accuracy:

Data Collection:

Initial Data from users on Lambo-Talk but has grown with my software and users starting to utilize this site to add more information. New VINs are collected via various Web sources, and admins attempt to keep the the data accurate and check for errors. The software also parses/decodes the Gallardo VIN to get the data it can, but items like Color and Trim are manually added. Again this site requires users to keep data accurate.

Accuracy:

Steps have been taken to try to sort out accuracy, particularly for gated cars. We have culled out many VINs that have been suspicious in the past. In addition photo reference and external sites and searches are used to try to make sure we have information. Still expect some small amount of error. There are no warranties with regards to this report or the data provided either implicit or implied.

Quantity and Extrapolation:

Only what is collected is what is really known. aka to be 100% accurate we can only say we have XXX data that we have collected so far. That said for USA we can extrapolate based on what was collected. However there has to be an estimate as to number of cars in the USA market total. (Assumption is 41% – based on wikipedia) Global Data is not as useful since smaller amount of data is collected.

Thank you for reading, now onto the good stuff...

Quantity Collected

  • Worldwide Gallardo Total is known to be 14,022 vehicles.
  • This number includes race cars not just street cars.
